The ANICETO University teaches what the guitar is actually doing while the player plays it · the decisions a maker made before the first string was ever installed, why one instrument makes a player sound inevitable and another makes the same player sound like they are working. That gap · between loving the music and understanding the instrument that makes it · is what this curriculum was built to close.

Before the Guitar
Weeks 1–4 · 28 lessons
The oud in Andalucía. Torres and the fan brace. The flamenca blanca. The flamenca negra. What the instrument is before a string is installed.
Module 2
The Makers
Weeks 5–8 · 28 lessons
Ramírez, Ferrer, Sanchis, Bernal, Conde, Gerundino. What a luthier dynasty is, how knowledge passes between generations, and what dies when a workshop closes.
Module 3
The Regional Schools
Weeks 9–12 · 28 lessons
Granada versus Madrid versus Almería. What geography does to construction. Why a guitar from Baza sounds different from a guitar from Valencia and why that matters.
Module 4
The Palos
Weeks 13–16 · 28 lessons
Soleá, bulería, siguiriya, alegrías, farruca · the major flamenco forms. What the compás (com-PAHS, Spanish: rhythmic cycle) is. How each palo (PAH-loh, Spanish: flamenco form) uses the guitar differently.
Module 5
The Gitano Tradition
Weeks 17–20 · 28 lessons
Cante jondo (KAN-tay KHON-doh, Spanish: deep song). The Romani origins. What the gitano community created and what it means to study it with honesty and respect.

The Instrument Portraits
Weeks 21–26 · 28 lessons + 12 portraits
Full portraits of the 22 instruments in the ANICETO Collection. One instrument per lesson. Construction, provenance, maker biography, cultural significance, and what to listen for.

Do I need to play guitar?
No. The history and culture of flamenco is the curriculum. The guitar is the lens, not a prerequisite. Every lesson works for players and non-players equally.
How long does each lesson take?
Written to be completed in a single focused reading session. Short enough to finish before resistance sets in, long enough to build a complete idea. One hundred and eighty lessons of curated expert content · the equivalent of a university semester, delivered at your pace, for the price of two private lessons.
Do I need to go in order?
Start with Module 1 · it establishes the vocabulary and the frame. After that, follow curiosity. Want to understand Paco de Lucía? Start with Module 5. Want to know why Granada sounds different from Madrid? Start with Module 2.

Who built this?
Steven "ANICETO" Acuña · a collector and student of flamenco guitar, and the designer of the TACHO curatorial system that governs both the collection and this curriculum. I did not make these instruments, and I did not make the music they were built for. Spanish luthiers made the guitars; the Romani (gitano) and Andalusian people made the tradition, with a depth I can study but never claim as my own.
